b'Contract# 6037 The Smile CenterNew Jersey was the Birthplace of Civil Air2023 Military Appreciation Resource MagazinePatrol in 1941, with CAPs Coast Patrol Base 1 located at Bader Field, in Atlantic City.Today, New Jersey Wing has over 1,580 members, consisting of cadets, who are between the ages of 12 and 21, and senior members, who must be over 18 years of age. Our members come from all walks of life, and most of them have an interest in aviation or the space program and enjoy helping our cadets grow into the next leaders of America.addition, it has been tasked with Homeland Security and courier service missions. CAP also performs non-auxiliary missions for various governmental and private agencies, such as the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Office of Emergency Management (OEM), local law enforcement and the American Red Cross.The Civil Air Patrol officially became a member of the U.S. Air Forces Total Force, which also includes the active-duty Air Force, Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard in August 2015.
